Private Bus Policy:  Clubs or groups who wish to use their own buses for the garden tours must have a
minimum of 48 passengers per bus. Each bus group is required to provide the convention registrar with a
list of bus passengers. Please contact convention co-chair, Janice Parker or Libby Gallion, prior to 3/15/14
to make arrangements for private buses. Attendees using private buses for the tour gardens will receive a
$30.00 discount on the registration fee. Please adjust payment on your registration form accordingly and
note in the margin that you will be on a private bus for the tours.

Optional Tour of the Biltmore Estate:  It will be well worth your visit to our beautiful land of the sky to come
early enough to take advantage of this great opportunity to tour the magnificent, country home of George
Vanderbilt and its 80,000 acre backyard, much of it designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and currently maintained by an army of gardeners and grounds keepers. In support of our AHS convention, the Biltmore garden staff, with donations from growers and hybridizers throughout the country, has added a large number of daylilies to its landscape.
In addition to the tour of the house and gardens, convention goers will have lunch at Deerpark Restaurant and will visit Antler Hill Village and the Biltmore Winery. All this for $95.00 is a real bargain!

For other things to do in Asheville, check the AHS website,   www.daylilies.org and click on "meetings/conventions” or go to Asheville's official tourism website,   www.exploreasheville.com

We promise this city has something for everyone!  Welcome in advance... to the land of the sky!
